1. Model used: GPT Image 2 (gpt-image-2)
Paw Portrait Lab uses GPT Image 2 (gpt-image-2) to generate pet portraits from uploaded photos. We access this image model through APIMart. The current APIMart API routing identifier is gpt-image-2-official.
The application calls APIMart’s image-generation API, rather than a direct OpenAI endpoint.
The model identifier shown here reflects this deployment’s generation configuration. Model names describe the provider’s offering and do not imply endorsement of Paw Portrait Lab by the model developer.
2. How a portrait is made
You choose a template and upload a photo. The server combines the template’s preset prompt with any supported memorial setting and sends the prompt and a signed image link to the generation service. The provider returns a task and generated result. This is AI image generation, not a hand-painted commission, and no physical artwork is shipped.
3. Results and safety
Results can vary in likeness, detail and anatomy. Review the output before printing or sharing, and do not present a synthetic portrait as evidence of an actual event.
